Tom Cooper

B Health Sci/M Physio Prac. Grad Cert Musc Physio (to completed 2021)

Since qualifying as a physiotherapist, Tom has worked in some of Melbourne’s largest public hospitals across musculoskeletal outpatient clinics, the emergency department and orthopaedic rehabilitation services. He enjoys treating a wide range of acute and chronic musculoskeletal conditions, including fractures, orthopaedic and spinal surgery and persistent pain. Tom is also experienced at managing various vertigo complaints and helps run the Vestibular Clinic at The Northern Hospital as well as treating vertigo in the ED.

Tom is currently completing his post graduate studies in musculoskeletal physiotherapy through La Trobe University. He volunteered his physiotherapy skills to the Rose Cambodia Rehabilitation Centre in 2014, treating people in the local community around Phnom Pehn, and providing training to local physiotherapists. He also regularly teaches undergraduate physiotherapy students on their clinical placements. Tom is also a committee member of the Australian Physiotherapy Association Emergency Department National Group.

Outside of work, Tom loves hiking, having recently completed the Overland Track in Tasmania, outdoor cooking and good music. Tom likes to keep fit through cycling, weight training and CrossFit.
